Sustainable Future: cunova's Commitment to Indian Schoolchildren

| People

Our team in India has made remarkable progress through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. With a strong focus on education and supporting underprivileged communities, they have successfully implemented a series of impactful projects in the Bengaluru region, positively transforming the lives of many young people.

Promoting Education: Supporting Government Higher Primary School, Gubbalala

One of the central projects was the renovation and improvement of the Government Higher Primary School in Gubbalala, Bengaluru. Our colleagues took several measures to provide students with a safer and more conducive learning environment:

  • Constructed a truss in the schoolyard to facilitate outdoor classes and provide a safe area for lunch.
  • Carried out electrical work to ensure safety.
  • Tiled the schoolyard.
  • Renovated all restrooms.
  • Restored all windows.
  • Painted the entire school building.

"We firmly believe that a safe and welcoming learning environment is crucial for better education. Through our work at the Government Higher Primary School in Gubbalala, we aim to provide students with the best possible conditions to realise their full potential," commented Venkatesh S. Aiyer, Managing Director of cunova Service India.

Bicycles for the School Commute: Gangadhareshwara High School, Magadi, and Government High School, Yantaganahalli

Another significant project was the donation of bicycles to economically disadvantaged female students in the 10th grade at Gangadhareshwara High School in Magadi, Bengaluru. This initiative, organised in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Magadi, aimed to ease the students' journey to school and thus improve their educational opportunities.

"With these bicycles, the girls can now travel to school safely without having to walk long distances. This will improve their attendance and academic performance," emphasised a representative of the Rotary Club of Magadi.

Access to Clean Drinking Water: Government Higher Primary School, Nidavanda

cunova INDIA also made significant improvements at the Government Higher Primary School in Nidavanda, Dabaspet, Bengaluru, to enhance the health and well-being of the students. In addition to installing a reverse osmosis (RO) plant for clean drinking water, the school’s kitchen area was upgraded with new shelves and racks.

"Access to clean drinking water is a basic right. With our new RO plant, we want to ensure that the students at this school remain healthy and can focus on their education," explained Venkatesh S. Aiyer.

The extensive work that our team in India has accomplished highlights what we can achieve together and how companies can have a positive impact on society.

"These projects are just the beginning. We are determined to continue our efforts and keep investing in the future of these young people," Venkatesh S. Aiyer emphasised.

We are proud of our colleagues and their outstanding work. Moving forward, we remain committed to fulfilling our responsibility to society and making a positive contribution.
