 An outstanding example of the success of our WAVE® technology can be seen in our collaboration with Nucor Jackson in Mississippi, USA. Here, the use of our WAVE® mould tubes (size 140 x 140 mm) achieved remarkable advantages:

• Reduced costs: savings of USD 3.3 million per year by reducing expensive alloy components.
• Triple the lifetime: The lifetime of the mould tubes increased from 800 to 2400 heats.
• Customer feedback: "The WAVE mould is the best thing in casting since oscillation."

In addition to the successes in the USA, our WAVE® mould tubes have also achieved impressive results in other parts of the world:

• Egypt (130 x 130 mm): Lifetime increased by 220% (from 700 to 2300 heats), total of 44,000 tonnes per mould tube.
• Egypt (150 x 150 mm): Lifetime increased from 600 to 1800 heats, cost savings of USD 80,000 per year.
• Oceania (150 x 150 mm): Improving production efficiency, reducing rhomboidity to 0% and saving NZD 1.2 million per year.

cunova CV Cooling Design

CV Cooling Design: Improved Casting Speed and Cooling

Since the METEC trade fair in 2023, we have conducted 21 trials at 19 customers worldwide in various formats - the results speak for themselves. The CV Cooling Design (patented by cunova) improves heat transfer and thus increases the casting speed. Particularly noteworthy is the combination with our WAVE® design, which was used in 14 of the 21 trials and shows enormous potential.

Success Stories:

• USA (165 x 165 mm): Increase in casting speed by 5-7%
• Poland (150 x 150 mm): Increased Delta T of 1.5 - 2°C
• Switzerland (150 x 150 mm):  Increased Delta T of 0.5°C and 6.5% higher cooling capacity
